Effective Habits

Finished viewing the presentation on the 7 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners. For me the hardest is Habit #3: View Problems As Challenges. Often times my first impulse is to panic. But I'm getting much better at viewing them as great learning opportunities. To me, this habit needs to go hand and hand with Habit 7 1/2: Play! It's important to remember to not sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff. As for what habit I exhibit best I believe I have great confidence in myself as a learner. It's something I really enjoy. When I talk to my mother she still asks what new thing I learned that day. So, I'm always on the lookout for a "learnable" moment.

It's A Blog Thing

Welcome to my new blog that is part of TCCL's 23 Things.

This is not my one and only blog. Oh no. I have two others. At one point a few years ago I was completely caught up in the blogging hoopla and created my first blog. But as we all know life starts to get in the way and I've found myself not posting very often. But my goal (look at me applying one of the 7 1/2 habits) is to get publishing again as part of this project.

Can you guess what my other blog is about? That's right...books! I have many interests, don't I?
